What is an Absolute Path?
Absolute paths are URLs that point to exact web pages. When you type in an absolute path, you enter every part of the URL, including HTTP/HTTPS and www (if applicable).

An example of an absolute path would be “https://www.dreamhost.com”. In most cases, you can share URLs without providing absolute paths because browsers can parse “partial” entries such as “dreamhost.com”.
When adding internal links, you can use relative URLs instead of absolute paths. For example, if you have a homepage and want to link to a shop page, you can use a relative URL that looks like this: “/shop”. When a browser sees a partial URL it will interpret it as a relative path.
