More About Google
Most of Google’s profits come from Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords), its online advertising service that places advertising near the list of search results. Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at Stanford University.
In August 2015, Google announced plans to reorganize its interests as a holding company called Alphabet Inc. Google is Alphabet’s leading subsidiary and will continue to be the umbrella company for Alphabet’s internet interests.
Some of the most popular Google products include its search engine, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Maps. Google’s mission is “to organize the world‘s information and make it universally accessible and useful”. This mission statement reflects its aim to be more than just a search engine, but also a source of knowledge for everyone.
