QuickPress is the previous name of a widget that you can use in the WordPress dashboard to publish blog posts quickly. In newer versions of WordPress, the QuickPress widget has changed its name to Quick Draft.

The Quick Draft widget offers a fast way to set up initial post drafts in WordPress. You can use Quick Draft to set a title, write the initial outline for posts, and then flesh them out later.
We don’t recommend using Quick Draft for writing entire blog posts because the widget lacks WordPress’s full editing functionality. The Quick Draft widget doesn’t have formatting options, blocks, or other features. Instead, it offers a simple text box for writing content and another for setting its title.
The Quick Draft widget also includes a list of the latest drafts in your post library. You can use these links to open the editor for a chosen draft.
